You're not the only one anymore! I've had my A3000 for over 10 years and am always surprised by the quality of the pictures it takes. An amazing camera. I would highly recommend to everyone. Sadly due to photo printing becoming more expensive and the fact that there are very few places locally that produce quality prints I have gone digital (EOS400D). Although I still use the Pentax when I need a good 'analogue' picture. Digital is spot on but there's no substitute for film.....insert debate here ;)

This vintage 1985 35mm camera is still very able indeed. Don't cut it short. It is an aperture priority camera with a programmed exposure mode, with shutter speeds to 1/1000 second and as slow as you like using B[ulb] mode with a cable release. Shutter speed from 1/30 through 1/1000 is displayed in the viewfinder. It is the first camera that I know of that uses DX film. It uses all K-frame bayonnet-mount lenses, but is designed for KA. Flash is available through a hot shoe, and the ready state is displayed in the viewfinder. I have shot hundreds of photos with it in the few months I've owned it, and it has amazed me on many occasions. As I learn to use it, it becomes clear that it has more ability than I do.
