After seeing a report on the California butterfly migration, I found your site by searching for "Painted Lady Butterfly". I am so impressed by the quality and number of photos. Just the dragonfly/damselfly gallery alone was amazing.

Thank you, Country

I saw a photo of a gray squirel that I'm wondering if I could use as a small illustration in a publication about Minnesota nature that I'm preparing?

Hi Cheryl
I purchased #13 of 500 "Eagle and the old man" right after the old guy fell down and could not get back up. It is displayed right at our front door. People always comment on it..
I purchased it off the wall at the ??Mad River Tavern??.. Just thought I would pass this on to you.

Cheryl -
Thanks so much for the compliments on my gallery, I only saw them today - I swear I really wasn't ignoring you ! And in answer to your question, I played around a little with photography about twenty five years ago in late high school / early college. I had a Minolta SLR. I really enjoyed it, but never made much progress. I had gotten another SLR about 15 years ago, a Nikon, but really only used it for snapshots. When it quit working last summer, I figured it was time to go digital. I have really gone crazy over it - I've taken over 20,000 pictures since the end of August. I'm still learning, and loving every minute of it. Now, about YOUR gallery - you have captured some very wonderful images. The birds, butterflies and moths are beautiful, but I especially enjoyed your landscapes. You really have a good eye. The pictures of the covered bridges were particularly good. Anyway thanks again, and good luck on finding a Buckeye ! (In Pensacola, Fl last weekend, I must have seen a hundred !)

Cheryl:

You certainly have an ambitious gallery, what with all the ----- of New Hampsire. Are you going to get them all?
Beautiful butterfly photos. Do you use natural light or flash?

Thanks Cheryl for leaving a comment in my guest book.

You asked what my equipment is:
Fuji S2, D-SLR, 85% or more of my images are taken with a fixed focus lens, 24mm which, because of the CCD size works out to a 35mm equivelant on a 35mm camera. I find a moderatly wide lens is the nuts and bolts of photography, any other lens is a specialty lens.

Nice pics too, broaden your horizons, there is a whole world out there.

Peace
Jim
